Judge Jessica's campaign is supported by law enforcement, labor, elected officials, grassroots activists, and everyday people from every walk of life and every corner of Will County.

"I have been a police officer for over twenty years and have had the privilege of working with Judge Colón-Sayre during this time.  As a patrol officer, she assisted me in criminal and traffic cases in her capacity as a state’s attorney.  She was always professional and helpful in preparing me for these trials.

When she was promoted to judge, she continued to go above and beyond to assist my department. She was willing to meet with my officers and detectives after hours to review and approve criminal arrest and search warrants for the department.  As our local court judge, she has shown herself to be fair and impartial towards the public. She listens and carefully weighs each case. When she observed an increase in juvenile arrests or citations in our jurisdiction, she worked towards finding restorative justice solutions, instead of punitive action against the youth.

This led me to change our procedures in dealing with low level juvenile crimes, including creating a local ordinance on station adjustment and incorporating community service alternatives with the school district.  She is both supportive of law enforcement and the rule of law and empathetic and even-handed in her decisions.

I support Judge Jessica Colón-Sayre for Circuit Court Judge and believe she will continue her good works in this position."
